I love reading and as of now that is fiction only. Love all genres except horror and for the past few years, been gorging on romance. Thrillers are my first love and add some romance to it then all the more better.

Deal at the Alter

A Deal at the Altar (Mills & Boon Modern) - Lynne Graham I wasn't going to read this book, since I am over my LG love, but then some friends said this book is not that bad and I did. The sister of the heroine jilted the hero in the first book, it was to be a business marriage, she looks after his three orphaned niece and nephews while he continues on with his life. The heroine is threatened by her father to propose to the hero and she does because of her disabled mother. She is 24 and a school-teacher and has a spine.

The hero suggests that he has a mistress and will continue to have one, while she gets security for her mother and looks after the kids. I liked how the heroine challenged the hero, when he tried to spruce up her appearance and didn't allow him to run her life. She changes him and soon their marriage become intimate. Of course there are both their ex'es on the horizon and the hero kind of distraught tells her that he hasn't been with his mistress since he married her and gave her, her walking papers. Then, we get the typical LG epilogue, with h/H ecstatically happy and expecting.
