I love reading and as of now that is fiction only. Love all genres except horror and for the past few years, been gorging on romance. Thrillers are my first love and add some romance to it then all the more better.
Unexpected Family - Molly O'Keefe I have wanted to read this book since I read the prequel about Jack and Mia and this is the story of Mia's elder sister Lucy who went to LA along with her mother five years ago to start her jewellery business when Jack's mom kicked them out. Lucy is back now, her creativity dead and so are her dreams. She has sold her business without telling her mom and is broke.

Then there is the hero, a former rodeo star and now a failure. He had a bad accident and then his sister died leaving him responsible for the well being of three messed up children and in charge of the ranch. He is drowning, he can't seem to do anything right or even let go of his resentment, wanting to go back to his carefree days.
Both the hero and heroine are dealing with resentment. Lucy gave herself to her career and she is 36 now with three relationships under her belt, plans have brought her nothing so she thinks let me be spontaneous and kisses the hero, but the kids presence stops the hero.

Like all Molly's book this is has plenty of sexy moments, especially at the back of the bar as well as issues. I especially loved the resolution for Walter(Jack's alcoholic dad) and Sandra(Mia's mother), Walter had always loved Sandra and we learn that Sandra had yearnings too, her marriage was not perfect. The book also deals with Ben, the troubled nephew of the hero. I enjoyed the romance, it wasn't smooth sailing without its problems but I loved how they moved forward as individuals and together. The hero was not afraid of dealing with his issues, he had a therapist and willing to ask for help even if it came late.
