I love reading and as of now that is fiction only. Love all genres except horror and for the past few years, been gorging on romance. Thrillers are my first love and add some romance to it then all the more better.
Smooth-Talking Texan (A Family Circle) (Silhouette Intimate Moments) - Candace Camp Decent book. The hero Quinn is the Sheriff & has been investigating some strange things going on in a house when the heroine a public defender comes up accusing him of being a racist bully when he is not.

The heroine is part Latino but never grew up with that heritage so she got interested in it in college & now is working in a small town for a year as part of her law school agreement.

The hero too worked in a big town but came back home, disillusioned in a way after the woman he loved chose working with a criminal boss over him & the crimes he saw got to him.

The book is fairly average, the hero chases her, she gives in, dithers, they both want different things, she is a city girl & wants to live in one and then they are at opposites sides in a case but well suddenly with one life threatening moment both are willing to compromise.
