This was a nice book and starts off with the hero and his two younger brothers attending the funeral of their father. The beginning puts a question mark on their future and the ranch their father ran. When the book opens again the hero Chance, the eldest is rich business man and rancher and we are shown that they not only survived but thrived.
The heroine Maggie is running from something and over the course of the book the details become clearer. She comes into the hero's life when she is hired as a cook by his brothers and their relationship begins with animosity but the hero soon comes to see that the heroine is no threat instead she is the one under threat. I loved seeing the heroine slowly build something at the ranch away from her former life as a chef. Love is not slow to build between them and I ended up loving the book, even the shenanigans between the brothers.
