I love reading and as of now that is fiction only. Love all genres except horror and for the past few years, been gorging on romance. Thrillers are my first love and add some romance to it then all the more better.

What Makes a Family? (Silhouette Special Edition #1853)

What Makes a Family? (Silhouette Special Edition #1853) - Rating 3.5 stars
When I started this book I wasn't aware that it was part of a series but well the arrival of the hero's brothers clued me in. The hero was in an accident a year ago that changed the course of his life. His injuries make him ineligible to go back to being a cop again and now he's drifting, thinking of going back to law school which he quit when his fiancee died but he's also helping his grandparents out. A friend intervenes and asks for his help with an angry eleven year old boy and that is how he meets the heroine, a teacher at the school. Both the hero/heroine are starting over. The heroine moved after the betrayal of her friend and husband plus losing her baby and infertility. Both of them are wary and I liked the slow simmering romance. The hero was a sweet-heart and so patient when the heroine could be a pain. I got irritated by the heroine, here was the hero offering her everything while she was not willing to trust and tell him the complete truth. Besides, that I liked the book.
