I love reading and as of now that is fiction only. Love all genres except horror and for the past few years, been gorging on romance. Thrillers are my first love and add some romance to it then all the more better.

For Karin'S Sake (Harlequin Romance)

For Karin's Sake - Samantha Day This was such a fast breezy read and I really enjoyed it. The heroine saves the life of a little girl and hence meets Karin's father and into the middle of the strain between them.

The heroine herself has not led a great life, sent away by her father after her mother died, she came into money at the age of eighteen after her father's death and was an easy target for Reid, a guy older than her and the executor of her trust. Her marriage was terrible, her physical relationship with her husband painful and degrading, the only good thing was her daughter, then she died(crib death) and she left her husband. He died before she could divorce him and she broke free, moving from place to place, letting her artistic spirit free. She wears a ring on her ring finger, her mother's to fend off men.

The hero asks for her help with his daughter, his daughter was taken away by his ex-wife when she was three and he stayed away from her because his ex told him she liked her stepfather and that meeting him would confuse him. Now, that his ex is dead his daughter seems depressed and unhappy. He can't get to her and knows that she was raised by baby sitters.

We see his helplessness, being unable to reach his daughter. The heroine falls for him but he doesn't seem to feel anything for her and when he does she mistakes his actions.

I actually enjoyed the book a lot because the hero's feelings were implied, I liked the heroine and also Karin, Mary and everybody.
