I enjoyed this book quite a bit. The hero is a rancher who meets the heroine in a bar, she is drinking and he can see her pain. She insists that she doesn't want to be alone and wants to be a cowboy, in short a lot of drunk talk. The hero is a pretty decent guy, his father taught him responsibility but the ten years since his parents death have made him isolated.
He asks the heroine to stay over for the summer and she does. She is an artist but more than that she is a child genius who grew up lonely. There was a lot of push & pull between these two with both of them wanting to protect themselves. The hero tries to keep her with him through sex but can't since she draws away. Sh goes away to discover herself and then we get an HEA.
