What a wonderful book. I loved it very much especially after these two got married and adjusted to a new reality and life.

The book starts off with the heroine who works in a PR firm getting a new assignment, one she isn't sure she is upto. She has changed a lot, her marriage to a senator took away her self-esteem and she is now trying hard to build it and her assignment is the hero Caleb, a brilliant man who only lives for work so getting him to do what she wants will be tough.

The hero and heroine know each other, they went to high-school together but their lives diverged, he went on to become a researcher who considers himself to be a machine and not human and prefers that actually.

Seeing these two was fun, the heroine doesn't know what to do with their attraction while the hero has some ideas, he knows that she can disrupt his life and they do become lovers but then Glory backs off afraid while the hero finds himself angry.

I found the pregnancy announcement hilarious, she by mistake put it in his speech and then he chases her down in the ladies room and proposes, she refuses but he is persistent in a total, lost nerdy way, telling her what benefits they will have when they get married and what not.

He even asks his family for tips and they find themselves married. I liked it how it was not all easy-going, the heroine suffers from doubts, what if the hero gets lost in his work again and there are moments when he does and she is angry but she expresses herself and he apologizes, before she knows it, she's in love with him.

I liked how they showed marriage is a compromise, adjusting to each other's needs, the hero doesn't know what to do at times and feels panicked when he sees Glory sick, sad or even in a situation he perceives as dangerous.

My eyes even misted in the end, when Glory was in the hospital giving birth and the hero felt tears in his eyes at the thought of losing her. He found himself human and the heroine saw through him to the hidden truth about how much he cared.

The reason the book worked for me was because it felt real and even when the hero was talking all logical I could feel him falling.
